Marjorie "Marge" Ruble Bodkin, 85, of Tifton, died Tuesday, April 29, 2014, at the Golden Living Center in Tifton. A Rosary will be held at 6:30 p.m. Friday, May 2, 2014, followed by a visitation from 7 until 9 at Albritton-Beaumont Funeral Directors. A funeral mass will be held at noon, Saturday, May 3 at Our Divine Saviour Catholic Church, Tifton. A private family interment will be held at a later date. Born Feb. 11, 1929 in Anderson County to the late Dewey and Effie Crask Ruble, she was also preceded in death by her husband, Harry Wallace Bodkin Jr. who died 10/17/2010, a brother, Ralph Ruble and a sister-in-law, Kathryn Hornback. She was a high school graduate and class Valedictorian of her high school in Shelby County. She lived in Tifton for the past 43 years moving here from Columbus, GA. She was a retired office manager for Howmet Corp in Tifton, was an active member and choir member for many years at Our Divine Saviour Catholic Church. She was a painter who enjoyed ceramics and decoupage. She was also an accomplished cook, having won several awards. She and her husband were active in the Exchange Club and loved to travel. She was a Meals on Wheels volunteer for many years. She is survived by a son and daughter-in-law, Scott and Marilyn Bodkin of Tyrone, GA; five grandchildren, Victoria Bodkin, Ashlyn Bodkin, Daniel Bodkin, Stephanie Bodkin and Jacob Bodkin; niece, Judie Dawson of Shelbyville as well as several more nieces and nephews; a sister-in-law and her husband, Mary Lynn and Kenneth Bobzien of Louisville and a brother-in-law, Robert Hornback of Shelbyville.
