Frankfort - Nancy Mitchell Polley, 47, passed away on December 30, 2012 due to complications following gastric by-pass surgery. Nancy was born on March 29, 1965 to Ann B and Donald H. Mitchell (Sue). She was preceded in death by her brother, Patrick Glenn Mitchell and her grandparents, Mr. and Mrs. Mark Blakemore of Shelbyville and Mr. and Mrs. Jack Mitchell of Frankfort. In addition to her parents, she is survived by her daughter Lauren Elizabeth Polley and granddaughter Ava Yvonne Polley of Birmingham, Alabama and her brothers Michael (Leann) Mitchell, Cary (Tina) Mitchell and her loving caregiver and sister, Jackie Mitchell all of Frankfort. She was a graduate of Western Hill High School and attended LCC in Lexington. She was employed by the University of Kentucky Medical Center and the Crime Victims Compensation Board. Funeral mass will be 11:00 AM, Thursday, January 3, 2013 at Good Shepherd Church officiated by Father Charles Howell. ÊBurial will follow in Grove Hill Cemetery, Shelbyville. A gathering of family and friends and a Celebration of Nancy's Life will be 5-8 PM, Wednesday, January 2, 2013 at Clark Legacy Center, Versailles Rd. Casketbearers are Leon Redmon, Dewayne Redmon, John Redmon, Danny Blythe and Mark Mangeot. Memorial contributions may be made to Hospice of the Bluegrass or Franklin County Humane Society.
