Ron Miller, 64, of Shelbyville, died Wednesday, 4 September 2013, at his residence. A native of Peoria, Illinois, he was the son of Barbara L. Miller of Shelbyville and the late Eugene Franklin Miller. He served as a sergeant in the U. S. Air Force. A mechanic, he retired as the automotive manager at United Parcel Service, and owned and operated Miller's Bushhogging and Mowing. Restoring old cars, especially mustangs, was his favorite hobby and he was a member of KYANA Car Club of Louisville. His memberships also included the National Rifle Association and the American Legion. In addition to his father, he was preceded in death by his brother, Dennis Miller. Survivors, in addition to his mother, include his wife, Joanna Karcher Miller of Shelbyville; his daughter, Barbara M. Miller of Shelbyville; his sons, Robert Miller of Bagdad and Anthony Miller of Louisville; his two grandchildren, Brianna Taniges and Tatum Miller, and his stepgrandson, Hunter Dennison. Funeral services will be conducted at 10:30 A.M., Monday, 9 September 2013, at the Hall-Taylor Funeral Home of Shelbyville with Deacon Robert Hart officiating. Interment will be in the Kentucky Veterans Cemetery Central in Radcliff, Kentucky. Visitation will be from 2 until 8 P.M., Sunday, 8 September 2013, at the Hall-Taylor Funeral Home of Shelbyville.
