Shirley Jean (Ritter) Sharp, age 75 of LaGrange (formerly of Henry County) passed away on Thursday, June 28, 2012 at Jewish Hospital in Louisville. Daughter of the late Lonnie Lyon and Edna Mae (Ruble) Ritter, she retired after 27 years of service in administration for the Department of Corrections. She was on the Executive Committee of the Henry County Democratic Party. Shirley was preceded in death by several family members. Survived by: husband: Allie Sharp, Jr. of LaGrange; daughters: Regina Whitworth Rose of Shelbyville, Lisa Gail Whitworth of Louisville, Donna Whitworth Reents of Pewee Valley; step-daughter: Sharon Sharp of Clearwater, FL; step-son: Todd Sharp of Campbellsburg; sisters: Connie Ethridge of Shepherdsville, Glenda Ritter of LaGrange; 6 Grandchildren; 6 Great-Grandchildren. Funeral Service: 11 AM Monday, July 2, 2012 at Prewitt New Castle Funeral Home. Memorial Contributions may be made to the Forest Reents Foundation: 6720 Leesburg Court; Lincoln, NE 68516.
