Thelma Jean Dawson Becker, age 78, of Shelbyville, passed away on Friday, July 6, 2012 at Jewish Hospital in Louisville, Kentucky. She was a retired communications technician for the Elkhart, Indiana General Hospital. She had been a member of the Elkhart Church of Christ of Elkhart, IN. She was preceded in death by her parents, Charles P. Dawson and Fern Hale Dawson; and her sister, Mary Jane "Toby" Smith. She is survived by her daughter, Debra L. Stephenson of Suquamish, Washington; three sons, Mark F. Becker of Leesburg, Florida, Brian C. Becker of Evansville, Indiana and Steve P. Becker of Goshen, Kentucky; stepsister Anita Roush of Shelbyville; and nine grandchildren. There are no services currently scheduled at this time. Shannon Funeral Service is in charge of arrangements.
