William E. "Pappy" Cissell, 89, of Mount Eden, died Monday, June 25, 2012, at Jewish Hospital in Louisville. Born in Spencer County, he was the son of the late George and Laura Kelien Cissell. He was also the widower of Mary Lee Cull Cissell. He was preceded in death by his grandson, Stephen Allen Cissell and sisters, Ruby Brooks and Margaret Bentley. Survivors include his son, William A. "Billy" Cissell of Mount Eden; brother, Donald L. Cissell and sister, Jeanette Devers, both of Louisville. Funeral services will be at 10:30 a.m. Wednesday, at the Hall-Taylor Funeral Home in Taylorsville. Interment will follow in Valley Cemetery. Visitation will be 2-8 p.m. Tuesday at Hall-Taylor.
