Wilma Faye McCoy Biagi, 85, died Friday, July 19, 2013, at her home in Louisville. She was born August 25, 1927 in Burkesville, KY to Fred and Anna McCoy. She was preceded in death by her husband of 48 years, Hugh Annibale Biagi, Sr., daughter Patricia Faye Biagi, sister Eva Newby, and brothers Dewey McCoy and Philip McCoy. She graduated from Burkesville High School and became a Registered Nurse after graduating from Norton's Memorial Infirmary in 1948. ÿShe was a Red Cross Volunteer, parishioner of The Church of the Annunciation, former member of St. Ann's Altar Society, Shelbyville Country Club Swim Team Mom, and a homeroom mother for many years in the Shelby County Schools. She is survived by 11 of her 12 children; James Biagi (Davie) of LaGrange, GA, Ann Houchin (Alan) of Westfield, IN, Teresa Biagi (Raphe Ellis) of Wheatley, KY, Gretchen Ackerman, Hugh Biagi, Jr, Susan Bradford (Kit), Jennifer Biagi (Mike Wallace) all of Louisville, KY and Margaret Biagi (Rick Hensley), Janie Watts (Randy), Bridgett Garratt (John) and Natalie Goss (Richard) all of Shelbyville; and 2 sisters, Brenda Harvey of Columbia, KY and Reva Laverne Gooskos of Brooklyn, NY. 28 grandchildren; Bill Ackerman, John Ackerman, Gretchen Tromp, Adam Biagi, Joseph Biagi, Antoinette Biagi, Matthew Houchin, Alice Weintraut, Amanda Houchin, Andrew Houchin, Esmee McKee, Sayward Stamper, Jessica Farmer, Mallory Potter, Caroline Watts, Jim Bradford, Will Bradford, Paul Bradford, Daniel Bradford, Lauren Spenard, John Spenard, Mia Wallace, Ben Wallace, Jack Garratt, Maggie Garratt, Michael Goss, Kyle Goss, and Emily Goss. 13 Great-Grandchildren; Paolo Biagi, Christian Biagi, Paige Ackerman, Elise Ackerman, Nora Houchin, Ian Houchin, Evan Houchin, Xander Weintraut, Gryphon Weintraut, Miller Elliot, Lucca Stamper, Levi Farmer and Layla Farmer. A Funeral Mass will be held 11 a.m. Monday, July 22 at The Church of Annunciation Chapel in Shelbyville. Visitation is 2 to 7 p.m. Sunday at the Shannon Funeral Home in Shelbyville, Kentucky. In lieu of flowers, a donation may be made to The Shelbyville Branch of The American Red Cross P.O. Box 1326 Shelbyville, Kentucky 40066.
