Gwen Stone-Wright, 48, Shelbyville, died suddenly and unexpectedly Friday, March 7, 2014, at Baptist Hospital East. A native of Shelbyville, she was the daughter of the late Anna Bell Marshall and Edward Stone Sr. She was a 1985 graduate of Shelby County High School and a graduate of Roy's of Louisville Beauty Academy. She was a production worker at Katayama American Company Inc. in Shelbyville, where she had recently celebrated her 15th anniversary. She was an avid U. of L. fan. She was a member of St. Stephen Baptist Church in Louisville. Survivors include her husband of 26 years, Jimmy Wright of Shelbyville; her son, James Edward Wright of Shelbyville; two sisters, Janice Littlejohn (Lisa Gettis) of Louisville and Connie Stone of Shelbyville; two brothers, Avery (Donna) Marshall of Shelbyville and Edward Stone Jr. of Louisville; four stepdaughters, Linda (David) Litsey of Lebanon and Gwen (Rory) Goffner, Michelle Porter and Jimi Chapman, all of Louisville; one stepson, Jared (Julia) Wright of Louisville; her mother-in-law, Elizabeth Wright of Louisville; 15 step-grandchildren and a host of sisters-in-law, brothers-in-law, nieces, nephews, cousins and friends. Funeral services will be 2 p.m., Wednesday, March 12 at Shelby Christian Church with visitation 10 a.m. to 2 p.m. at the church. Rev. Kilen Gray will deliver the eulogy.
