Elmo Pulliam, 84, of Southville died Tuesday, April 1, 2014 at the Masonic Home of Shelbyville. He was a member of Salem Baptist Church. He was a US Army veteran serving in the Korean War. He was a farmer and had served on the Kentucky Farm Bureau Board of Directors and also was a former director of Southern States Shelbyville Cooperative Inc. He was preceded in death by his parents, Delbert and Georgia Lee Proctor Pulliam; sisters, Louise Pulliam, Clara Pulliam and brother, Clarence Pulliam. He is survived by his wife of 46 years, Edna Mae Hammond Pulliam, Southville; sons, Michael Pulliam, Southville; John Pulliam, Columbus, IN; Alan Pulliam, Southville; brother, Ralph Pulliam and sister, Lois White both of Southville. Funeral services will be 11 a.m. Thursday, April 3, 2014 at the Shannon Funeral Home with Dr. James Hill and Bro. Roy Temple, Jr. officiating. Visitation will be 4-8 p.m. Wednesday at the funeral home. Burial will be in Grove Hill Cemetery. Expressions of sympathy may be made to Salem Baptist Church, 8311 Mt.
