James R. Lea, 93, of Shelbyville, died Sunday, Aug. 24, 2014, at the Masonic Homes of Kentucky, Shelbyville. He was a native on Winchester and was the son of the late Charles and Lilly Wilcox Lea. He was also preceded in death by 4 brothers. He was a member of the Shelby Christian Church and an Air Force Veteran serving in World War II. He had been an assembly line worker for General Electric for 28 years. He is survived by his wife of 68 years, Ada May Carriss Lea, Shelbyville; son, Danny R. Lea (Joyce); daughter, Karen Seeders (Bob Weis); grandson, Eric Seeders; great grandchild, Cheyenne Seeders, all of Shelbyville; and sister, Anna Belle Caudill of Louisville. Funeral services will be 10:30 a.m. Wednesday at the Shelby Christian Church with Bro. Dave Hamlin and Bro. Jason Haggard officiating. Visitation will be 4-8 p.m. Tuesday at the Shelby Christian Church. Burial will be in Grove Hill Cemetery. Expressions of sympathy: Shelby Christian Church.
