David Ostello Obituary
Attended Crestmoor High School and was a graduate of Capuchino High School in San Bruno. An encouraging father and former coach to a variety of his girls athletic teams. An avid SF Giants and 49ers fan. Employed by the Palo Alto Water Department for many years. "He was the best husband and father we could have asked for. Our lives are forever changed with his absence and we will carry him in our hearts forever."
Family and friends are welcome to attend a Funeral Mass celebrated on Tuesday, August 2, 2016 at 10:00 AM at Saint Veronica's Catholic Church in South San Francisco. Committal will follow at Holy Cross Catholic Cemetery in Colma.
In lieu of flowers, his family appreciates donations to the American Cancer Society or to the charity of your choice.

Dave was a positive and humorous person to work with in San Bruno. Dave's diligence and dedication is evident throughout the City of San Bruno, he made the new street name signs to convert from black/white to the Green/reflective with the City's emblem. Dave did this in the late nineties while working at SBPW. Dave also worked tirelessly for more than 40 hours without a break during the 1998 El Niño mudslides. I am lucky to have worked with you Dave. Our thoughts and prayers are with the Ostello Family. We are so very sorry for your loss. Tom M.

I am very sorry to hear of Dave's passing. I will always remember him being a kind person with a great smile. Although it's been several years since I've seen him or his lovely wife, I'll always remember him as a caring and thoughtful person.

Tee, Erin and Kelly,
My heart is heavy with your sorrow - Dave was a good man and loved you guys dearly. He was so proud of Erin and Kelly, and Tee, you were the love of his life. Nothing will make this easier but keep family close and if I can do anything at all, I'm here.

I am so heartbroken to hear the news. I lost my father this week too and this pain is just more than I ever could have imagined. Dave was such a happy and.loving father. I enjoyed working with.him at.so many different St. Veronica school events. Sending you all my.love.
