Dear Rick, Laura, Bob, and Kathy,
Your Dad always impressed me with the amount of daily interaction he had with each of you, which was so unique, for that generation of fathers. I always enjoyed talking to him about racing, horses, tennis and his family, when I saw him. I am so happy he had that last great ride at Laguna Seca, his great passion. Love, Julie Curran Calder

Fred Knoop was a stand in father figure to me during my years at Menlo College . Through my decades long friendship with Rick beginning in the late '60s to present day , my relationship with the Knoops has always been an especially important one. Fred was a man who earned my respect, admiration and deep affection thru his genuine warmth , kindness, guidance and support. I have so many wonderful memories of times spent on Isabella at loma via ranch, the races ,even Santa Barbara that will always have a cherished place in my heart. My deepest condolences go out to Rick, Bobby, Laura and Kathleen and of course Lynn. My love , prayers , support and friendship are yours today and everyday. Always Van, Teresa, Daurie and Arthur Basham

Frosty was a true gentleman and a good husband and dad. He was very respected in vintage racing circles, and I know that he is at peace in a Heavenly place.
Much love,

Mr. Knoop was the best dad ever. A vision of him will forever be in my mind driving a racecar with a HUGE smile on his face.

Dearest 'Lynny' -
Our lives are richer for having Freddy in them (albeit briefly). A kinder, gentler man has rarely walked this Earth.
Freddy will live in the hearts of many. I, for one, will miss his unfailing good will and strong gentleness. Thank you for sharing him.

Dear Laura, Bobby, Rick, Kathy--I am so sorry to hear about the passing of your Dad. Our "young" group from the 70's always appreciated so much the generous hospitality of Gracie and Frosty as we were just starting our adult lives in San Francisco. They were so gracious and welcoming to all of us and we will never forget them.
You were lucky to have such outstanding parents--God bless them both.

While I entered the DKE House in 1951, "Frosty" must have been in the outgoing class of Don Fisher, so I never met him.
He named a son with my same name.
Frederick "Rick" W.
My heart goes out to another fallen DKE and U.C. Berkeley grad.
God Bless the family, Rick
P.S. I see my friend, John Ducato, signed in.
