Picchi, Constance June - Resident Of Alamo
Constance June Picchi Our dearly beloved mom passed away Saturday morning December 13, 2014. She was preceded in death by her husband Roger, the love of her life. Connie was born June 16, 1943 in San Francisco. She grew up on Bernal Heights, and in Haight Ashbury. She attended Mission High, where she treasured many friendships with her classmates, especially her lifelong friend Janet. Mom loved telling us stories of all the fun she had growing up in the City, and riding the bus all over town. Her favorite story to tell was the time she watched, through her bedroom window, Roger playing with her brother Jack on Ellsworth Street. Connie and Roger were 13 and 15 when their romance began. They eloped to Santa Rosa in 1960, and returned home to each of their parents homes. Soon afterward their Marriage was Convalidated at St. Kevin's Catholic Church "On The Hill". They were able to then begin their married life together in a rented Flat on Gates Street. Connie worked at Bank of America. She became a Keypunch Operator working the night shift. After her children came along she devoted her time to raising a family, and helping our dad in the Welding Shop, and Continental Maritime Businesses. Connie leaves behind her children Nancy, (Scott), Kathryn (Jose), Tony (Jenny), and Gino (Norma). Grandchildren Pamela (Sal), Lauren (Mario), Jenny Lynn, Matt, Alisa, Nicholas, Hayley, Luciana, Isabella, Alesandra, and Faviana. Great Grandchildren Lily, Tomothy, and Leila. Her sisters Evelyn Woodward, Olive Brandt, Patricia Picasso, and brother Jack Curtis. We wish to extend our appreciation to Vitas Hospice, Chris, Marriana, and the nurses who tended to her medical needs. We are ever so grateful to her personal caregivers Anna Lynn, Candy, and Cyl. Yor devotion to our mom was a comfort for her and the family. Visitation will be Friday December 19, 2014 at Wilson & Kratzer-Chapel of San Ramon Valley 825 Hartz Way, Danville, CA 94526 from 4:00 to 8:00 PM.
