Alice Ravetti

Alice J. Ravetti, 82, passed on February 19, 2013. Adored wife of the late David F. Ravetti, loving mother of Mary E. Ravetti and David N. Ravetti (Linda Grey-Ravetti); cherished grandsons Michael D. Ravetti and Steven J. Ravetti. Beloved sister of Irene Mullin (John Mullin, d.), brothers Theodore Pappas (Louise Pappas, d.), Arthur Pappas (Shirley Pappas, d.) and Andrew K. Thanos, Jr. (Cheryl Thanos, Jr.). Thirty-nine cherished nieces and nephews.
A fund raiser extraordinaire, she generously supported the Lucille Packard Children's Hospital for over 40 years. A volunteer Miracle Network Chairperson that produced the Children's Day Around the Bay telethons, Alice Ravetti led Children's Day events with sparkle and laughter. She also served on the Board of Directors, Lucille Packard Children's Hospital, and was an active San Francisco Auxiliary member, serving as its President and Chairman. She was an avid supporter of children's health, which she believed laid the foundation to building a stronger future and a better world.
Other favored fundraising pursuits included, loyal support of Boys' & Girls' Towns of Italy for over 50 years and Little Sisters of the Poor, St Anne's Home. Alice Ravetti was also, a charter member of the Northern California chapter of the Patriarch Athenagoras Orthodox Institute (PAOI), a member of the Graduate Theological Union, the Daughters of Penelope, and the Roumeli Society.
