Alice Walsh

Alice Walsh

Alice entered into rest on Tuesday, March 19, 2013, at age ninety. Born to the late Remi and Susie Sanders, she is ready to join her beloved late husband John (Jack) Walsh - a retired Captain of the Daly City Police Force.

She leaves behind her loving daughter, Susan Crumpler, and son, John Walsh. Her sister Lorraine and Lorraine's husband, Robert Suber, pre-deceased her. She is also survived by niece, Marilyn Suber and nephew, Robert Suber (wife, Olivia and daughter, Emelie)

A life-long resident of Daly City, Alice was proud to be part of the Klos family pioneer residents. Her grandfather W.G.Klos was part of a group that joined efforts to become the new city of Daly City. A graduate of San Francisco State University in 1943, she began her teaching career in Daly City schools and her love of teaching saw her continue beyond the classroom. She enjoyed helping others with her tutoring and ESL skills until age 75. She will be missed by her many friends and remembered for her sunny up-beat attitude. To quote Alice, "What a wonderful life!"

Visitation for family and friends will begin at 10:30 a.m. and the Funeral Service will begin at 11:30 a.m. on Monday, March 25th at Duggan's Serra Mortuary, 500 Westlake Ave., Daly City. The Committal will follow at Holy Cross Catholic Cemetery, 1500 Old Mission Road, Colma.
