She was a long time member and President of the San Francisco chapter of the League of Women Voters, and a Commissioner and first woman President of the San Francisco Redevelopment Agency. She was an incredibly intelligent woman who excelled at everything she did, and dedicated much of herself to the City of San Francisco. She will be greatly missed by all who knew her. She was predeceased by Dayton. Survivors include daughter Ellen (Timothy), grandsons Thomas and Charles, four nieces, one nephew and countless cherished friends.
