June 15, 1930–Nov. 22, 2013
Chuck passed away at home on Nov. 22, 2013, surrounded by his family with his wife of 59 years, Lorraine, at his side. He was a newspaper printer by trade and during his career worked at the Pittsburgh, Pennsylvania Post-Gazette, the San Francisco Chronicle, and the San Mateo Times. He was the third generation of his family to follow this trade. Chuck served in the Korean War and the Military Police, and was an avid golfer. The family is certain he has already lined up a golf game. He is survived by his wife, Lorraine, children Tom, Joan, and Chad, daughter-in-law Amy, and grandchildren Joshua and Mia.
Family and friends are invited to remember Chuck at services at the Immaculate Heart of Mary Church, Belmont, on Tuesday, Dec. 3rd, at 10:00 AM. Reception to follow at St. Michael's Hall behind the church.
The family invites donations in Chuck's name to Kaiser Hospice Redwood City for their compassionate care throughout his final months.
