Eric Todd Anderson

Photo Eric Todd Anderson 39, died peacefully in the presence of family and friends at home on July 4, 2006 in Sausalito, CA, just moments before the fireworks filled the sky. Born in Cleveland, OH, on March 20, 1967, Eric had lived in Marin County for a decade. He was an avid athlete, mountain biker and an accomplished musician. He was singer, songwriter and guitarist for band Go Kart Go, a creative force within San Francisco's alternative rock scene for 10 years. He also dedicated many Saturdays to the Marin Headlands volunteer hawk protection program. Eric valiantly battled gastric-esophageal cancer since his August 11, 2005 diagnosis. Those close to him describe his fight as the single most heroic battle they have ever witnessed and remember his tremendous impact on so many lives, not only through his music, but also through his kind, intelligent, nonjudgmental and witty manner. Eric will be missed dearly. Eric is survived by his fiancée Elena Rodriguez of Sausalito; his parents, siblings and grandparents. A Memorial Service will be held on the top of Mount Tamalpais, July 29. Donations in Eric's memory will be given to a yet-to-be-determined cancer research organization and may be sent care of Elena Rodriguez to: 540 Easterby St., Sausalito CA, 94965.
