Florence Morrison Clark passed away Thursday, January 10, 2013 in El Cerrito, at 85 years of age. A native of Brooklyn, New York, and 41-year resident of El Cerrito. Survived by her son, Neil Clark of El Cerrito; step-son, Michael Clark of San Francisco; brother, Julius Goldfarb of Lancaster, Pennsylvania; and granddaughter, Sheryl Clark of San Francisco. Preceded in death by her husbands, Donovan Morrison in 1964, and William H. Clark in 2010. Florence graduated from Brooklyn College with a bachelor degree in 1951, and received a doctorate from Cal Berkeley in 1980. Florence worked as an epidemiologist for the State of California Health Department, retiring in 1988. She then went on to do consulting work for the World Health Organization in Geneva, Switzerland, where she helped edit books on communicable diseases, cancer, and HIV research. Member, Phi Beta Cappa Society, Oakland; and American Rhododendron Society, Berkeley.
Friends and acquaintances are cordially invited to attend memorial services Saturday, March 2 at 2:00 p.m. at Unitarian Universalist Church, 1 Lawson Road, Kensington.
