Guido E. Guinasso

Guido E. Guinasso

Age 86 passed away suddenly Friday March 15, 2013. Loving husband of Marie E. Guinasso for 36 years. Devoted father of Timothy, Joseph (Fanny), Danie1 (Peggy) and the late Michael and Thomas. Loving grandfather of Brian, Nicholas, Gina, Gregory, Danille and Kevin. Great grandfather of Miky and James. Son of the late Louis and Mary Guinasso. Loving brother of Steve (Rosalie), Jerome, Jim and the late George. Loving father figure of Donna (Barney) and Duane (Nancy). Loving grandfather figure of Cheryl, Gina, Nicole (Noel) and Michelle (Lonny). Loving great grandfather of Lora, Shane, Giavana, Ryan, Lucy and Maxamus. Survived by many nieces and nephews.

Guido graduated from St. James High School in 1945 and attended San Francisco City College. Guido was an Inspector for the City of San Francisco for 38 years. Served in U.S. Army During WWII. Past President of St. Mary's Park Improvement Club.

Guido leaves behind a lifetime's worth of enduring friendships made during his vital and well-lived life: from his years working for the City, through giving his time to the people at St. John's Church, and especially the children and neighbors in St. Mary's Park for whom Guido has been a friend, a guide, a compadre, and a mentor. Those who count themselves as Guido's friends are fortunate to know the spirit and affection he brought to their lives; each of us would be luckier still to hope that some of the fidelity of Guido's character has rubbed off on us as well.

Friends are invited to a Memorial Mass, Monday March 25th, 10:30am at St. John the Evangelist Church, 19 St. Mary's Ave. San Francisco, followed by a committal at Holy Cross Cemetery, Colma.

Memorial donations may be made in Guido's name to the or St. John the Evangelist Church.
