Harold Shain

1924 - 2013 


Died peacefully at home with his family around him. He was born in New Haven, Conn to Sol and Mary Shain. In World War II, he was awarded the Bronze Star for bravery in the Battle of the Belgian Bulge.


Long-time San Francisco resident, he was a chemist, patent-attorney, all-around handyman, master tournament poker-player, and pilot.


Devoted husband to Miriam Gould, and daughters Melanie, Sara (Coby) Esther, and grandchildren Jacob, Ben, Sidney, and Eitan.


Memorial services will be held on Thursday, Jan 9th at 3 pm at Sinai Memorial Chapel  1501 Divisadero at Geary, SF. (415) 921-3636
