Henry H. Kruger

Dec. 14, 1923 – Feb. 12, 2014. Henry was a Holocaust Survivor born in Wolomin Poland. Son of Mr. and Mrs. Perez Kruger who perished in the Treblinka Extermination Camp. Husband of Ruth Kruger and father of Harold Kruger. He came to San Francisco in 1949 and worked various jobs to learn the language. Henry was a merchant on San Bruno Avenue in San Francisco, owning Vella Variety for 25 years. He was a staunch admirer of Menachem Begin and Simon Weisenthal. Supporter of the State of Israel.

A member of Congregation Ner Tamid and the Lake Merced Golf Club. Henry was a Freemason and a member of the Scottish Rite. In lieu of flowers, donations can be made to the Simon Weisenthal Center 1399 South Roxbury Dr. Los Angeles, CA 90035. Funeral services will be held at Eternal Home Cemetery in Colma, February 16th at 10am.
