Jack Lee Morris D.P.M.

Jack Lee Morris passed away on March 12th after a valiant and courageous battle with chronic cardiac and pulmonary disease. Jack was born 1938 in Everett, Washington to Eva and Louis Morasse. Jack graduated from Lake Stevens High School; in 1957 he enlisted in the U.S. Navy working as a laboratory technician and corpsman. He married Betty and soon Renee' and Jack Jr. arrived. Jack graduated from the University of Washington and California College of Podiatric Medicine, while working full time to support his family. After a successful private practice of 15 years, Dr. Morris returned as a professor to the College of Podiatric Medicine. While chairman of the Biomechanics Department he, humbly, published some of the most insightful, scientific articles on biomechanics in his profession. In 1990 Jack married Joni Murphy, and found his life reinvented. During retirement he enjoyed travel, his grandchildren, telling jokes, and being a consultant in his profession.

Jack was preceded in death by brothers Pete & Mickey, brother-in-law Brian Murphy. Survived by brother Jerry (Barbara) Morris; sisters-in-law Karin & Beverly Morris, Patty & Bev Murphy, Pat Ormsby; brothers-in-law Jim Murphy & Elon Ormsby; mother-in-law Alyce Murphy; loving wife Joni of 23 years; children Renee (Don) Hunt, Jack (Sandi) Morris Jr.; grandchildren Akio (Crystal) Hunt & Miranda Hunt, Jake, Mckenzie & Madison Morris; numerous nieces, nephews, extraordinary friends, and his cat Frank. Most boys only dream of being a cowboy, a sailor, a fisherman, a pilot, a professor, and a physician but Jack realized all these dreams.
