Juan Collás

Juan Garduño Collás

April 25, 1932 - March 19, 2013

Juan passed away peacefully at his home in Millbrae at the age of 80.

Johnny, as he was known by his close friends and family, had an illustrious career as a senior partner of the international law firm Baker & McKenzie, for whom he founded offices in both Manila and San Francisco.

As accomplished as he was in his professional life, it was his sense of humor and impeccable style that will be most fondly remembered by his friends and family. An iconic character with a taste for the finer things, he enjoyed good food and wine, cigars, and the game of golf - right up until the end of his long and storied life.

He is survived by his devoted wife of 53 years, Maria Lucinda, and his four loving children, Juan, Elias, Cristina, and Daniel, and his eight grandchildren, who knew him as Lolo. They were a constant source of joy and delight to him.

He also is survived by his five adoring sisters, Anisia, Angie, Regina, Diana, and Solita.

A memorial will be held on April 5th at the Chetcuti Room, 450 Poplar Avenue, Millbrae, CA from 5:30pm to 8:30pm. The family would appreciate memories and stories about Juan.
