Leandra was born on the 22nd of November, 1918 in San Macario in Piano, Lucca, Italy. She moved to San Francisco as a bride to Guido Coturri in 1950, who cherished her deeply until his death in 1979.

She was the precious Bis-Nonnie of Lydia and Sebastien Gauvin. Leandra was preceded in death by six of her siblings in Italy.
