Of Redwood City, CA, 88 in Redwood City, CA. Peggy was preceded in death by her husband of 47 years, Glynn, her daughter Janis, and by her parents Robert and Corinne Cameron. Survived by her son Jeff and daughters Jill and Adair, brother Sam and her 7 cherished grandchildren, 7 great grandchildren, and many nieces and nephews.
Peggy was born in Seneca, CA, the seventh of nine children and spent her early years on the family mining claim in the Sierra Mountains. When she met her future husband, Glynn, she left her mountain life to live in the Bay Area.
Peggy and Glynn married in June of 1946 and moved from SF to Redwood City in 1950.
She loved to read and work crossword puzzles. Her witty letters were enjoyed by many.
Peggy was a Girl Scout leader and a Den Mother with the Cub Scouts. She was involved with many of her children's school activities. She was creative and often made the girls dresses and costumes.
She was active with her Church and was the Secretary there for many years. She worked at a dental office and then for Mr. Gears for 25 years until retiring in 2008, at age 83.
In 2009, Peggy moved to Woodside Terrace. She made many friends and enjoyed frequent visits with family and friends.
Peggy will be buried in the "Prattville Pioneer Cemetery" beside Lake Almanor this summer.
In lieu of flowers, Mother would appreciate donations for her grandchild, Christina Grocott, as she participates in the Susan G Komen 3 Day Walk to fight against breast cancer.
