Mario Baffico

Mario (Flip) Baffico

Age 95, a 4th generation San Franciscan, after a brief illness, left us peacefully on 05/15/2014 at home, as he wished.

Dearly beloved husband of Florence (Flo) Baffico for over 50 years after meeting on a blind date. Respected and admired step-father of Ken Hutton (Laura), Dennis Hutton and the late Ron Hutton. Loved Nonno of Rachel Pannetta (Mike) and special grandson Jake Hutton. Very Special great granddaughter Katrina Pannetta. His parents were the late Ettore and Pastora Baffico. He leaves behind his sister Louise Crackbon who will sorely miss him. Also leaves two nephews Ron Imperiale (Pat) and Paul Imperiale (Vivian).

Served in the Army in Greenland. A 68 year member of Carpenters Union #22. Member of YMI #1. Always interested in reading, talking about or watching races, especially Indy Cars and Hot Rods. A great gardner growing vegetables and according to some, the best parsley grower in the city.

A special thank you to Lau, his caregiver for the short time he was home and to Jean, our next door neighbor who has been so helpful. Also to all our friends who were and are so supportive. We have lost a very special person. His family as well as his many friends will truly miss him.

Friends may visit Monday May 19th from 3-9pm and are invited to attend the Vigil Service at 7pm at Duggan's Serra Mortuary, 500 Westlake Ave, Daly City. The Funeral Mass will be celebrated on Tuesday May 20th at 11am at Church of the Visitation, Sunnydale Ave & Rutland St, San Francisco. Burial will follow at Holy Cross Cemetery, Colma.
