Patricia S. Jensen

Patricia S. (Gregg) Jensen, beloved wife of Richard W. Adam; mother of Kristen Jensen (Allen Carr), Dr. Karen Johnson (Berkeley), Erik Jensen (Kashya), Emily Allbritten (George) and Mary Thomas (Kevin); sister of Barbara Holtzrichter (John), Scott Gregg (Virginia), Rob Gregg (Caryn) and Kimberly Holeman (Ted); grandmother to Justin, Ian, Nicholas, Ben, Mackenzie, Sam, Ella, Reed, Cooper, Zoe, Sophie, Harley and Jake, passed away on March 17, 2013.

Pat was born in Olympia, Washington on July 8, 1940, the eldest of five children of Duncan and Glenna Gregg. Pat grew up in Berkeley, California where she graduated from Berkeley High School in 1959, and attended U.C. Berkeley.

Pat married Harley Jensen in 1960, and they lived in Berkeley with their three young children. Pat and Harley, along with Harley's second wife, Ute, remained good friends throughout Pat's life.

Pat married her best friend, Dick Adam, in 1978, blending together their two families. Their deep affection and respect for each other was an inspiration to all who spent time with them. Pat owned the New Moon clothing stores in Oakland and Walnut Creek for 18 years. She and Dick moved to Sonoma in 1992, where they lived and worked their small vineyard and hosted many a gathering for their friends and family.

Pat's quiet strength and boundless patience were an inspiration to her husband, children, grandchildren, siblings, nieces and nephews and many friends. She loved to walk the trails in Sonoma, was a lifelong reader, an inspiring cook and a fashion icon to all who knew her. She found particular joy spending time with her many grandchildren, who referred to her as "Gramma Pat." We will all miss her kindness, support and her wonderfully wicked sense of humor.
