Patrick Joyce

Patrick Joyce Left this life as he lived it courageous, determined, & kind; surrounded by his family at home on Feb. 17, 2013, after a long struggle with a Brain Tumor. He will be remembered by all who survive him - his wife of 42+ years Theresa, his children Diane, Sarah, David (Ratih), & Linda; his grandchildren Sophia, Quinn, & Aran; his 2 brothers and 3 sisters living in Ireland & England.
Born March 10, 1943, in the Aran Islands, Co Galway Ireland, Patrick left home at age 16 joining the Irish Army & served as a UN Peacekeeper in the Congo, Africa. After, he traveled to CA & made his home in Oakland, CA. There he learned his trade, Carpentry. For the next 40 years, he built homes, including his family home. He loved to share his trade & was a patient teacher. Patrick enjoyed Irish set dancing & was a proud member of Comhaltas Ceoltóirí Éireann, marching yearly in the St. Patrick's Parade. Patrick loved to Travel & loved laughter. Words can never say how much he will be missed.
