Reginald Dunkley

Reginald (Reg) William Dunkley, Jr.

Born January 27, 1927, passed away peacefully surrounded by his sons on January 11, 2014, after a courageous battle with cancer. He is survived by Bjorg, his wife of 51 years, sons, David (Peggy) and Michael Eric (Neosha), four grandchildren, Nicole, Eric, Noah and Luke, twin sister, Rosemary, sister, Gladys, niece, Kathy, and nephews, Bob, Chris and Mike.

Reg was born in San Francisco to parents Reginald and Alicia Dunkley.  He was raised in Millbrae and graduated from Burlingame High School in 1944.  He joined the U.S. Navy and proudly served as a Radarman from 1945 – 1946.  He met his future wife, Bjorg, in San Francisco and they married on May 5, 1962.  They settled and raised their children in San Bruno and then Millbrae.  Reg worked at Western Pacific Railroad for over 35 years before retiring. 

Reg cherished his family and was actively involved in his sons' extracurricular activities.  He spent many years coaching youth baseball for the Millbrae Lion's Club Little League.  When his grandchildren arrived, he enjoyed spending time with them and attending their numerous sporting events and activities.  Reg was an avid sports fan and followed the SF Giants and 49ers faithfully.  Reg will be greatly missed by all who knew him.
