Ronald L. Gonzalez

Ron was born in Washington, DC in 1946 to Louis Joseph Gonzalez and Catherine Constanty.
He lost an 8 ½-month battle with Glioblastoma (brain cancer).
He received a B.A. in '68 and a M.A. in '71 in Architecture from Yale University.
After teaching two years in Mexico City, he came back to the US and moved to San Francisco (the City) in '73.
He was active in community planning in the 70s and literally helped plant trees still lining Harrison St in the City.
He taught at City College of San Francisco from '76 to '00.
Ron is survived by his partner of 13 years, Peason Chiang, sister, Carol Gonzalez, special friend, Kimberley Ballance, niece, Christina Bowman, nephew, Benjamin Bowman, and dear friend, Gioia D'Ranieri.
A gathering for family and friends to honor Ron will be held at the Recreation Center, 850 Burlingame Ave., Lounge 2, Burlingame, CA 94010 on 4/20, Sat., from 2 to 4 pm.
In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to DRBA, Gold Mountain Monastery, San Francisco Tomorrow, National Brain Tumor Society, or any charity.
