Wallace Chan

Left us at age 64. Preceded in death by his parents, Wing Foon & Tuey Goon, and his son, Clinton.


Graduated from Polytechnic HS and earned a Bachelor's in Accounting from SF State University. Wally leaves behind his beloved wife of 24 years, Rosalind, 3 children: Jeremy (Marilyn), Tad (Christina), and Tanessa (Taka). Wally was the proud grandfather of Aiden, Janelle, Jenna, and Marc. Also survived by his brother Munson (Elaina) and their family.


Wally most recently served as a Special Advisor for UCSF. In addition, he served as the National Director and Western Field Office Director for the US Department of Health & Human Services and was a Principal for KPMG.


Wally had a warm and humorous nature and made everyone he met feel like family. He loved to eat, travel, play poker, and barbeque. His specialty was prime rib. Most importantly, he loved spending quality time with his grandchildren, whom he loved dearly. In the past, he enjoyed taking his sons, Clinton and Jeremy, to Giants' baseball games and 49er's football games.


Wally was much loved and well respected by all - his family, friends, and his colleagues near and far.


He will be fondly remembered for his love, devotion, and generous spirit towards his family and friends.

A public memorial service will be at Skylawn Funeral Home & Memorial Park in San Mateo, Saturday June 1st: visitation at 11AM and the service at noon. Hawaiian attire is appropriate.
