Robert Clark Obituary

Robert Edmund Clark Passed away peacefully at home in Cow Hollow on Dec. 13. Born in 1919 in Passaic, N.J., Rob served in the Infantry, won the Purple Heart, and was captured by Germans in Normandy. He studied interior design in New York and Paris and married childhood sweetheart Jean Carolyn Houghton in 1945. Rob moved his growing family to Southern California where he worked as a manufacturer's representative in the home decor business, a career he continued after relocating to San Francisco in 1967. Moving here was a wonderful adventure for the whole family, particularly Rob who loved learning The City. Rob savored beautiful things such as art, his rose garden, music and singing in the choir. He is survived by his daughters Jean Cherie and Joyce Clark-Binen (Lloyd); sons Bob, Jack (Jan), and Tom (Tosca); six grandchildren and one great grandchild. Memorial service is Monday, Dec. 20, 6 p.m., Green St. Mortuary, 649 Green St. His family thanks his wonderful VA docs and caregivers and Home Hospice. Memorial donations may be made to your choice of charity.

To Tom,Tosca & Family, We send you our heartfilled sympathy of the passing of your dear father. He sounded like he was a man who had so much on the ball. Our prayers and thoughts are with you at this most difficult time. Michele would also be writing in this Guest book, but she is on a ski trip, so I am sure that she would want me to write these words to you. God Bless all of you, Our Love, Tina& Angela Canepa and Michele Canepa Zirelli.
