Samuel Fong Obituary

Samuel Fong October 1, 1947 October 5, 2010 Passed away peacefully at Coming Home Hospice on October 5th, 2010. Sam was born on October 1st, 1947 in Canton, China. In 1962 he immigrated to the United States from Hong. Kong. After he graduated from UC Berkeley in 1970; he attended pharmacy school at the University of Michigan where he graduated in 1973. Later, he further studied at the University of Michigan School of Dentistry and graduated in 1979. Sam opened his dental practice in San Francisco and practiced for 30 years. He is survived by his wife, Eva, two children, Andrew and Vicki, and sisters, Rita, So Yuet, Betty, and many nephews and niece. Friends and relatives are invited to the viewing (wake) at 6:00-7:00pm on Thursday, October 14th. The funeral service will be held on Friday, October 15th from 12:00-1:00pm at McAvoy OHara Evergreen Mortuary located at 4545 Geary Blvd. at 10th Ave., San Francisco. Comittel at Cypress Lawn Cemetery, Colma. McAvoy O'Hara Company (415) 668-0077
