Erica Iantorno Obituary

Erica Iantorno Born May 8, 1974, age 36, passed away unexpectedly on September 7, 2010. Erica enjoyed her final weekend at the Fairmont Hotel in San Francisco overlooking the beautiful green gardens. She is survived by her parents, Carol and Sergio Iantorno, her older sister Bettina, her younger brother Paul, her United States uncles and aunts, Gary and Sonja Ward, Maurizio and Cristina Iantorno, as well as her first cousins, Alison and Carl Ward, Stefano, Isabella and Sofia Iantorno. She is also survived by her large Iantorno family of aunts, uncles and more than 25 cousins throughout Italy, and her favorite caretaker and friend, Linda Baldisseri. Passionate about writing, Erica fell deep into the illness of anorexia and bulimia at the very young age of 11 and spent 25 years fighting the disease, a journey she detailed in a book she spent her whole life writing. She had a heart of gold and always helped the people around her. She always gave what she had and shared everything that was given to her. She will be missed dearly and there is a place missing in all of our hearts since her passing. Erica's funeral will take place at Saints Peter and Paul Church (666 Filbert St.) on September 15th, 2010 at 10:00 am. Flowers can be sent to The Green Street Mortuary (649 Green St., San Francisco, 94133, 415-433-5692). All of the surviving Iantorno members, and Erica's friends and acquaintances, are invited to come Tuesday and Wednesday to celebrate her passing and her freedom and new journey next to Our Lord.
