Richard Gollob Obituary

Richard Leroy Gollob Richard Leroy Gollob, age 72, passed away peacefully at his home in Concord on Friday, September 10, 2010. Richard was born January 28, 1938, in San Francisco, CA, one of five children of Joseph and Lily Gollob. He has resided in Concord the past 43 years. Richard served his country in the US Marine Corp and the US Navy. He retired from Pacific Bell after 44 years of service, and was a member of the Concord Elk's Lodge and the Concord Moose Lodge. A devoted family man, he enjoyed family picnics, playing horseshoes, Casini Ranch Camping, fishing, and "Carpool Poker Games". Richard will be deeply missed by his loving children, William L. Gollob (Julie) of Oakley, Cheryl A. Wolf of Pittsburg, and Michele M. Jorgensen (Joe) of Oakley; beloved brother Joseph Gollob of Sunnyvale; beloved sister Katherine Ferrey of Union city; seven cherished grandchildren, Sheena, Amanda, Matthew, Richard, Megan, Tyler, and Nicole; and one adored great grandson, Vincent. He was predeceased by his loving wife of 38 years, Patricia Ann Gollob in 2000 and two sisters, Lucille Mohr and Marjorie Brennan. A Memorial Celebration of Richard's life will be at 4:00 p.m. Friday, Sept. 17, 2010 at Ouimet Bros. Concord Funeral Chapel, 4125 Clayton Rd., Concord. Inurnment is private. Ouimet Bros Chapel (925) 682-4242
