The loss of Gene Muscat is immeasurable. The world would be a much better place if there were more people like Gene in it. He was a very generous, kind, and witty man. Always had a story to tell, and even when things went wrong, he would seem to find the positive in it. He loved his family more than anything, and my thoughts and prayers go out to them while they deal with another devastating loss. RIP Gene and thank you. It was an honor knowing you.

Dr. Muscat taught me the basics of business administration at USF. I'm now pursuing academic career, but have found the skills and knowledge I learned in his lectures are very useful even in academia. My sincere condolences to his family.

Gene was a Riordan High School and USF classmate of mine. I always enjoyed the chance to share lunch with him or visit occasionally at USF. He was a fine man who will be welcomed into the company of those of his family and friends who went before him. On the earthly side, we will miss his calm good will, his good cheer and his loyal camaraderie. Our thoughts and prayers are with him as they are with his family.

What a loss ... it feels too soon to say goodbye to Eugene. I got to know him during my MBA (95-97) and have stayed in continual contact since. He was always supportive of all our student and alumni activities and I will miss him greatly. My heart goes out to his family as I extend my deepest sympathies and prayers.

Dean Muscat was an inspirational Professor and dear friend during my time in USF. He went beyond the scope of a teacher and took time off even during the weekends to counsel and teach me.
He will be dearly missed by myself and many students whose lives he touched.
RIP my mentor, professor, and friend.
What you have taught will not go to waste.

Gene was my student at Riordan High School, my colleague at USC as we commuted weeekly to LA for our doctorates, and my colleague in academia. He was truly an exceptional person by any measure you apply: humor, intelligence, loyalty, and empathy. He was my friend. My condolences to his wife, his sons and his family. What a really lovely man. Gene was classy, warm and genuine. Our paths crossed only briefly, but memorably. What a fine family!

I went to St. Elizabeth's grammar school with Gene through the 6th grade, and briefly reunited at USF.
Even as a 12 year old I could see that Gene was a leader. Friendly and out going with an infectious spirit and the mind of an inventor.
With the knowledge of a life well lived may his soul rest in peace.
Peace and blessings,

Paul
