Anthony Escandor Obituary

Anthony "Butchie" Formento Escandor At Peace on December 1, 2010 after a brief but courageous battle with a brain tumor. Adored son of the late Bernardo Escandor and Filomena Formento, and preceded in death by his sister Shirley Ergina and brother Bernardo Escandor Jr. Butchie is survived by his brother Benjamin Escandor, sister Linda (Carlo) Irwin, sister Jeannie (John) Vines and many nieces, nephews and cousins. Born and raised in San Francisco, he enlisted in the US Navy at the age of 19 and served 2 years before returning home due to injury. Butchie worked as a custodian at the SFO Airport for 22 years and retired in 2005 at the age of 50. Butchie will be greatly missed by all who knew and loved him. Family and friends may visit Thursday December 16th from 3-9pm and are invited to attend the Vigil Service Thursday at 7pm at Duggan's Serra Mortuary, 500 Westlake Ave, Daly City. Funeral Mass will be celebrated on Friday December 17th at 11am at Holy Angels Catholic Church, 107 San Pedro Rd, Colma. Interment to follow at Holy Cross Catholic Cemetery.

R.I.P. Uncle Butchie. I miss u everyday & I wish that you didn't have to go just yet. It is true, God always takes the good ones & in my book you're one of the great ones. I know you're one of my guardian angels in heaven & I know that I'll see you in heaven one day. =) Love you Uncle Butchie!
