Cecilia (Dolly) Foran May 29, 1926 - October 4, 2010 Our beloved mother, Cecilia (Dolly) Foran, passed away on October 4, 2010 at Home Sweet Home in Daly City. She had spent the last 4-years at Home Sweet Home due to a long illness form a heart condition and Alzheimer's. Dolly was preceded in death by her parents, Frank and Bertha D'Antonio, husband Jim and brother Vince. Besides being a wife and homemaker, Dolly worked for the San Francisco Giants for over thirty years. Everyone knew Dolly for her great enthusiasm and big smile. She was a tiny woman, but everyone knew not to mess with Dolly. Our best memories with mom and dad were when we kids would spend two weeks a year vacationing at Rio Nido on the Russian River. The beach, barbeques and fun we had as a family are memories we will always cherish. Mom will be missed by her children, James and wife Rosa, Kathleen and husband Gary, Michael and wife Kasandra, Monica, as well as her nine grandchildren, four great-grandchildren, brother Frank and his wife Jo, her sister Ann, her close cousin Flo and many nieces, nephews and many dear friends. We know that mom is up in Heaven dancing with dad and cheering for the Giants to go all the way! The family wishes to thank Hospice By the Bay in San Francisco for their care and compassion in Dolly's last three months. Also, a big thanks to Shirley and all the care providers at Home Sweet Home, particularly Julia and Gienna, Mothers 2 Nurses, as well as Wilma, who took such great care of mom until the end. Thanks also to the people at Duggan's Serra Mortuary, especially Mark. A private burial was held on October 12, 2010 at Holy Cross Cemetery, where Cecilia (Dolly) was laid to rest with her husband Jim.
