Elisa Candido Obituary

Elisa (Lisetta) Candido Age 85, the loving soulmate of John S. Luppino passed away on Sunday September 12. Lisetta was born in Saccolongo, Padua, Italy. Her big dream was to come to America, and come she did! She lived in New York City for 26 happy years. Upon her first husband's death, she came to S.F. where she met John Luppino. It was love at first sight, and for 35 years they were each other's love of life. She'll always and forever be in our hearts and souls, until we meet again. Mother of the late Joseph Potenza, loving grandmother of Elisa Maria Torres (daughter of Tato and Darlena Luppino Torres) and Shannon Luppino (Daryl Luppino), Daughter of the late Emilia Mazzucato and Massimiliano Pedron. Sister of Leone, Gino, and Nidi, of Padua, Italy. Loving Aunt of Lorenza Romagnolo (Pietro, Alice). Friends may visit Friday 2 p.m. with a Vigil Service 4 p.m. at Duggan Serra Mortuary, 500 Westlake Ave. Daly City. A Funeral Liturgy will be held Saturday 11 a.m., at Duggan Serra Mortuary. I will always remember Lisetta as a person with a joy for life and singing. She kept coming back all the time. Really coming back and singing was her way of saying she was back alive when we though many times she was leaving(singing Italian songs and our classic boleros) until the last Saturday when she decided to say bye and go and asked the priest & John to say bye from her part to a clear list of people. She was generous to my wife Darlena and daughter Elisa-Maria, in the the simplest way, modeling a joy for the simple things in life & in the manner she gave attention and care to us when we visit A dinner with her and John ( my father in law) was always tasting good wine, tasting great food prepared with lots of care by her with a slow paced conversation, never in a hurry, always ready to share 1 or 2 memorable stories from her life. Memorable: vignettes/stories framed and shared by her with warmth, love & a touch of grace. Tato & Darlena
