Nina Hazelton Obituary

Nina Ray Hazelton Resident of El Cerrito Nina passed away September 27, 2010, at the age of 82, in San Pablo. Born September 26, 1928 in Berkeley to Clare and Charles Tansley, she was a graduate of Albany High. In 1952, Nina married Gene Newton, who died in 1953. In 1956, she married Earl and lovingly raised two boys in El Cerrito. She enjoyed working at the Lawrence Berkeley National Laboratory as a travel and office specialist for 21 years. She was an avid artist and active member of the Methodist Church and Children's Home Society. She is survived by sons Craig of Lafayette, CO and Kent Winters-Hazelton (wife Carolynn) of Lawrence, KS, and sisters Muriel Blank and Carol Carleton. Services will be held Wednesday October 6 at 11:30 at St. Luke's Methodist Church, 3200 Barrett Ave, Richmond, CA. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to St. Luke's Methodist Church. SUNSET VIEW MORTUARY Tel. (510) 525-5111
