Henry was born, October 20, 1967 in San Francisco. He graduated from Oceana High School (Pacifica, CA) in 1985. He attended City College of San Francisco then eventually became an Amtrack Train Conductor in 1994. Friendship with his life partner, Rosie, began in 1998 and from then, their relationship blossomed. They married in 2005. Henry was a "Faithful" Forty Niners fan and also loved the Warriors and Giants. He had a strong love for music, movies, and electronics. He was known for instilling a strong sense of respect for family and all people in general. Henry is survived by his loving wife, Rosie and four children: Kayla, Kiana, Dominic, and Andrew; his parents Henry, Sr. and Rosie; sister, Trisha and partner Claude; sister, Larina, her husband Aaron, and their children Joshua and Noelia; brother, Jonathan and his son Jayden. Henry is also survived by numerous loving aunts, uncles, cousins, and friends.
A viewing will be held between 4-9pm (Vigil at 7pm) on Thursday, November 21st at Duggan's Serra Mortuary, 500 Westlake Avenue, Daly City. On Friday, November 22nd, a funeral mass will be held at All Souls Church, 315 Walnut Avenue, South San Francisco. Burial will follow at Holy Cross Cemetery in Colma.
In lieu of flowers the family has requested donations be made to Citibank, NA: In Trust For Rosie Dacanay and the Family of Henry Dacanay, Jr.
