Jerry Rough passed away at his home in Castro Valley on July 20, 2013. Born on December 27, 1928, he joins his beloved wife of 59 years Tula who preceded him in December. Devoted father of Diane McVay, Lori Pessah (Roger), and Marsha Lemos (Doug). Loving grandfather of Ryan McVay(Sonya), Kyle McVay, Justin Lemos (Michelle), Ashley Kurtz (Joel), Elliot Pessah, Chandler Pessah, and Ian Pessah. Great grandfather to Rhyan, Jake, Jordyn, and John. He will be missed dearly by many nieces, nephews, cousins, relatives and special friends. Jerry was a barber for 40 years, and an accomplished artist for most of his life. He loved church, fishing, painting, and spending time with his family and friends. His sense of humor and way with words will forever live in our hearts. Family and friends are invited to attend a funeral service at 10:30 a.m. on Thursday, July 25, 2013 at Transfiguration Catholic Church, 4000 E Castro Valley Blvd., Castro Valley, Ca. 94552 Donations may be made to the Disabled Veterans National Foundation, at www.dvnf.org

How sad it was to learn of Jerry's passing. It brought back so many memories of St. Andrews, his shop in Serramonte the Cursillo's he worked
with such love. May you all know that he, along with all of you are in our prayers. He will be missed by many.
