I miss you, Dad. I know that you are at Peace and with God today; so you are in good hands. Although, it has been 9 years since you went to God, it seems like yesterday. You were loved by us all and will forever have a place in our heart. When you get some time with God, say a good word for us, as, we, too tried to lead a good and honorable life through and with Christ, Our Lord. Amen. A.M.D.G...Ad Majorem Dei Gloriam... For the GREATER GLORY of GOD.

To my dear family,
We will never forget the countless hours spent surrounded by love and the smell of something great in the kitchen.
We will never forget the smiles, the laughs and the occasional argument.
I will never forget the twinkle in grandpa, the sparkle in his eyes when he was up to no good. He always had a hug for you, and if you were there at 5 he had a 2 finger drink in the offering. There was love, compassion and an open heart for many. Time spent with him and grandma will forever be in my heart, and in the sounds and sights of love.

Hi Dad: We were all together yestersay to celebrate your life and reminisce about all of our fond and wonderful memories of you. It is always so difficult to say goodbye to a loved one, especially when they are loved and treasured as you were. I just want you to know how much you meant to me as a mentor and a father. You and mom were always there for me and I will always cherish each and every memory. It is such a shame that we often wait until someone leaves us to tell them how we feel. You brought joy, laughter and wisdom into my life and I will carry you always in my heart. All my love.

Great Grandpa Brown,

I am not really sure where to begin. I know I wasn't around you all that much through your life, and I wish that were different, I really do.

I also know how great of a person you were. I remember your kindness and greatness, even during the last time that I saw you. You said things to me that were vital and meaningful, and I really appreciate that.

I know that you lit up the lives of all those who had the privilege of meeting and knowing you, myself included.

Everyone who speaks of you, speaks only the best of you, and losing you will be hard for the family.

The lack of time I spent with you saddens me greatly, and I only wish that I knew you better. But in the short amount of time I spent with you, I was able to peg you, spot on..... You were a fighter... almost a full 97 years of being a fighter were under your belt, and you would defend those you loved forever.

Even now, I'll bet you're watching over us all with a smile on your face, protecting us from your eternal paradise in heaven.

I can't wait until I can see you again, and make up for all of the lost time.

I LOVE YOU, and THANK YOU for being my great grandfather.

Love Always,
Jonathan

More than 400 third graders from St. Gabriel School benefited from the prayers, love, attention and hugs showered on them by 'prayer partners' Tony and Jessie through the years. Favorite memories for me include dropping by after school with letters from the children and soaking up the wit and wisdom of Tony...occasionally decked out in his 49'er pajamas! I will especially remember 2009 when Tony checked himself out of the hospital to attend the S.G. Seniors' Christmas Party and Bingo. Despite being ill, his dapper and festive attire brightened the room for all of his friends. Tony and Jessie, you have been a blessing to the Seniors, the 3B students and to me. Thank you!

Grandpa, My memories of the essence of you are in my heart, soul and mind forever... the kindness in your eyes, your sneaky smirk when you told a funny joke or were up to something that would make anyone laugh, your awesome and loving compliments, and the joy, laughter, love, understanding and wisdom you brought to my life. I will forever remember you saying, "Looking good, Stace. Looking good," when I called you and Grandma on the phone. I know many others will remember that about you too. :) No matter how I was feeling, you always managed to make me feel positive, valued, loved and beautiful whenever I was with you. You brought sunshine to my life, brightened up the room when you entered, and the times I spent in your presence will always be cherished. I will miss you and will always keep you close to my heart. I LOVE YOU & THANK YOU for being my GRANDPA. I have been RICHLY BLESSED to have you as my mentor, my friend, and my beloved and valued Grandfather for 40 years of my life.

God Bless You Grandpa.... "you're looking good!" You always have, and you always will. . XOXOXOXOXO

Grandpa,
We were blessed to have you in our lives for so many years. I am glad we had the opportunity to say our goodbyes. Words cannot express what you meant to me or how much I will miss you. I love you always and know you are at peace with out Lord. Until we meet again....

Losing a loved one is one of the most difficult things we can go through, so much more if it is a parent or grandparent. No words can express what I am feeling right now and I’m sure only time can help me accept the fact that I no longer have any grandparents. I rest tonight and I am happy that he has finally gone home to our Lord and Savior Jesus Christ.

Dear Tony, I'm sad to hear of your passing however I know how much happiness you gave your beloved Jessie, extended family and friends over many, many years. I regret never managing to get out to SF to see you both but have happy memories of when we met so many years ago in Clydebank and, if memory serves me right, possibly Edinburgh too.

Thinking of Jessie and the family at this sad time,

Arthur and family (Maris, Erin & Owen and grandson Jordan)

We send our love and condolences to all our family in America from over the seas here in Scotland.
I am glad I had the chance to visit you Uncle Tony and Aunt Jessie back in 1999 as an adult having first met you when you visited Scotland many years earlier. It was an honour to do so and your warm welcome and generous hospitality I will cherish and remember always. Lesley and the girls are sad they did not have the opportunity to meet you.
Tony you will be deeply missed. Our thoughts are with Aunt Jessie and all the family at this time
All our love,
Cousin Robert, Lesley, Mhairi & Niamh. X

Dear Grandpa,
You know how emotional I am. Even typing this makes me cry.
Thank you Grandpa for always making me laugh. I remember when I was little you took me for walks. The sidewalks were to high for me. You always picked me up. And when I would fall and skin my knees, you told me to look at the hugh crack in the concrete I just made. Then I would stop crying thinking"oh great, now I am in trouble again. Ha!Ha!
Thank you for forty five years of fond memories. I miss you, I love you!

P.S I will bring you lemon drops when I see you again.

Dad - I just wanted you to know how much I love you and I will miss you terribly. You and Mom always treated me like a daughter instead of a daughter-in-law, and I am so grateful for that. I will miss eating Lemon Drops with you and having you tease me! I have wonderful memories of you and will keep you in my Heart always. Behave yourself in Heaven, as I know that is where you are!

I miss the "cracks in your face"
I miss walks and always finging chage on the sidewalk.
I miss rides to the skating rink in the red oldsmobile.
And so many more things.
I will see you again in Heaven but I will miss you till then.

My dear Dad,

You died without pain and peacefully in your sleep. I am so very grateful to God that He took you that way.

No longer will you answer my telephone queries as to how you are with, "Well, I'm still here, Ray." Sadly, you are NOT "still here," anymore, Dad.

But, happily, you are with God now.

Say "Hello" to Mammie and Poppi, Aunt Margaret, Uncle Robert, James Bernard, and the rest of our dear family and friends.

I love you and, I will miss you until we meet again.

May your soul, and the souls of all the faithfully departed, rest in peace. Amen
