Arline Erb

Arline Erb 07/20/1920 - 09/04/2010 Surrounded by her family, Arline passed away at 90 years old after a wonderful life. She lost her first husband Bill Maier in 1944 and her second husband of 53 years, Russel Erb in 2000. She is survived by her loving children Dr. Hollis Erb, Shelley Erb Shelton and husband Charles Shelton, Gordon Erb and wife Cynthia Cranmer Erb, and Loriel Erb Nichols and husband Mike Nichols. She also leaves adoring granchildren Andrea, David, Michael, Melodie, Matthew and Dylan. Arline was raised in Richmond, CA and lived there 23 years before moving to Berkeley where she remained for the rest of her life. She graduated from UC Berkeley and was a member of several organizations including her sorority Alpha Xi Delta, The Town and Gown Club, The Claremont Club and the Alta Bates Volunteer Association, where she served the hospital for almost 40 years. A memorial service will be held at St. John's Church, 2727 College Ave., Berkeley on Wed. Sept. 22 at 2:00pm. In lieu of flowers donations would be appreciated to Alta Bates Summit Foundation.
