Bernadette Thompson

Bernadette Burciaga Thompson Passed away on October 16, 2010 at home in San Francisco with her family. She was preceded in death by her beloved husband, Leonard J. Thompson, her parents, Inez and Domascio Burciaga and brothers. Bernadette is survived by her loving children, Bernadette "Teri", David, Lenette Pauline (Annie Hoddinott), and cherished grandchildren, Nicole, Travis, Samantha, Sierra, Jake and Jordan Thompson. She also leaves behind her sisters, nephews, nieces, and friends who will miss her dearly. Bernadette was an extraordinary woman who was as smart as she was beautiful. She purchased her first home as a single mom in 1964 which sparked her interest in real estate and lead to the properties she and Leonard later purchased. She was also a huge Giants fan and use to laugh that it was no coincidence that she moved to San Francisco in 1958, the same year the Giants came out west! Always committed to education, she donated her body to the UCSF School of Medicine. She was loved by many and will not soon be forgotten. Friends and family are invited to the celebration of the Funeral Mass on Saturday, November 13, 2010, 11:00 AM, St. Finn Barr Church, 415 Edna Street, SF.
