Biff French Obituary
Edward Crossett "Biff" French

1933-2013

Edward Crossett French, affectionately known as Biff, passed away peacefully at his home in Kentfield, California on June 20, 2013. He was born on February 21st to Ruth and Ted French.

He graduated from The Latin School of Chicago, Deerfield Academy, and Amherst College. For many years, he was a successful stockbroker at Dean Witter and Wedbush Morgan.

Biff was a devoted husband to Lila, a loving father to Edward C. French, Jr. (Mimt), Clark French (Joanna), and Gage French (deceased). He was also a wonderful friend to his step-children Kimberly Clark (Jim) and Carson Lovell (Michael). His great joy was to be with his grandchildren Carolyn, Lauren, Melissa, Caitlin, Lexie, Ollie and Sam. He is also survived by his brother, James R. French of Carmel.

Biff was a very kind, generous and loving man to his friends and family. He was an exceptional golfer and a long time member of The San Francisco Golf Club. An avid hunter, tennis player and an expert at dominoes, Biff was also an accomplished pilot, and one of the happiest times of his life was when he flew jets for the United States Air Force. The BBQ Man loved entertaining and we will always remember his cooking, his funny stories and jokes. Time spent at his homes at Stinson Beach and San Jose del Cabo, Mexico was very special to Biff.

The family would like to thank Manassa, Tikiko, and Elenoa Lesuma for the outstanding care they provided to Biff. In appreciation to them, in lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to Temple United Methodist Church, 65 Beverly Street, San Francisco, CA 94132.

There will be no funeral service. A celebration of his life will be held at a later date.
