Carol Harmon Obituary

Carol Jean Harmon (ne Swan) Passed away peacefully September 18, 2010 near Phoenix, at 90 years old, born August 27, 1920 to Emert and Velma Swan and raised in the Stockton area. She joined the Women's Army Corps in 1943 and served in the Pacific, and was an announcer on the Armed Forces Radio/Manila before returning home at war's end. She settled in South San Francisco, working as an executive secretary in several Peninsula firms. She moved on to the Phoenix area to pursue her interests in spirituality and writing. She wrote a hospice book, "The Sunset Primer," and a novel, "Play It Again, Samantha." She was a longtime and beloved hospice volunteer. Carol is survived by sons Robert Harmon of Mill Valley and Gary Harmon of Roswell, GA, niece Donna Jean (Swan) Sullivan of Vallejo, and by grandchildren Jessica and Zachary Harmon. Her burial niche will be at Valley Presbyterian Church, Paradise Valley, AZ. A prayer service for her will be in Phoenix at a later date.

To the Family of Carol Harmon you have my sincer sympathy.
The book "The Sunset Primer" helped me during the passing of so many loved ones and friends, it was a great comfort to me and I wish I could have personaly thanked Ms. Harmon for it.
