Carole Hoffman Obituary

Carole Hoffman 72 of Palo Alto died of cancer on December 30, 2010. She was the loving mother of Buddy, Lynda, and Christy and adoring grandma of Zach and Jonah. A single mother with three children, she earned her BS in both Psychology and English (magnum cum laude), plus her Master's in Social Work, completing those degrees in less than four years. Her amazing energy and courage will be remembered by all that knew her, and she will be missed very much. Services will be held Sunday, January 2nd at 11AM at Roller & Hapgood & Tinney Funeral Home, 980 Middlefield Road, Palo Alto, 94301. Carole was such an insightful thoughtful person. I was a patient of hers for many years. She helped me survive cancer, and saved my emotional well being, among many things. I can not begin to tell you how she improved my life, and gave me the confidence to go on. She was truly treasured by me and can not thank her enough for all she did. She will never be forgotten and I send my sincere condolences to her family as she made this world a better place. TLB

Carole and I met through a melanoma support group 15 years ago. She was a thoughtful, caring participant, and was generous in sharing her information and knowledge to the members. Her strong sense of humor got us through some difficult moments.

I send my sincere condolences to her family.

...her laugh, her tennis, her travel letters (via my mom), and of course, her convertibles, this is how I will remember your mom. Great memories that will make me smile each time I think of her. I wish you peace and love as you celebrate her life.
