Caroline was active in the San Francisco Junior League and the St. Elizabeth's Infant Hospital Auxiliary. She worked for many years in the pension department of the IRS. As a newcomer to the city, she earned a mention in Herb Caen's column in 1956 for wearing Bermuda shorts to work in Union Square during a heat wave. Caroline is survived by her daughters Charlotte Worcester, Alison Worcester, and Kimball Worcester; daughter-in-law Margarita Rhodes; grandchildren Beatriz W. Coelho, Lucas W. Coelho, Jade L. Worcester, Douglas W. Kenter, and Malcolm W. Caroline and I worked in the same division but different section of the IRS. Caroline was an advocate of recycling and encouraged others to use the backside of paper for unimportant correspondence. She also seemed fascinated with stories I shared with her regarding my daughter's adventures in the Peace Corps in Mongolia. May fond memories be of some comfort to you at this time. Peace, Patrice
